Project Profiles from the Southwest Region

The MillerCoors brewery in Golden, CO, the largest single-site brewery in the world, has used CHP since the 1930s. "Waste is a resource out of place," says Bill Coors, 3rd-generation to the company's founder. The company recycles the heat from its 20-MW CHP plant to make steam, used in the brewing process.

National Project Profile Search

CHP already accounts for nearly 10 percent of our nation's energy - numbering over 4,000 local, clean, and efficient systems and counting - and we have the potential for far more. The DOE's CHP Technical Assistance Partnerships have put together Project Profiles on over 100 individual CHP systems across the country, illustrating the diversity, benefits, operating conditions, equipment configurations, and lessons learned from these sites. Use the search tool below to find Project Profiles that match your own site's characteristics.
